Join us for a lively, highly interactive workshop in which we will explore these themes using Theatre for Living techniques. No previous theatre experience needed. Lunch included. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/theatre-for-living-exploring-equity-inclusion-reconciliation-tickets-59247096661
What do we mean when we use words like equity, inclusion, and Reconciliation? What are the struggles and blockages we face as we walk the path towards more inclusive and just communities?
Please join us for a group exploration of these themes using Theatre for Living techniques! NO PREVIOUS THEATRE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Participants from our past TFL workshops are welcome to attend! Please dress comfortably.
This event is sponsored by CVGAN (Comox Valley Global Awareness Network). Tickets are FREE and include a light lunch. LUNCH will be available at 12:40. PLEASE REGISTER no later than Monday, April 8th.
DETAILS Based on the work of David Diamond, Vancouver-based Theatre for Living sees community as a living organism in which the individuals and the collective are interconnected and part of the same. Through a variety of theatre activities, including movement and trust games, partner activities, and image theatre, we will explore the event themes. After each activity, there will be time to reflect and debrief. This workshop aims to be fun while at the same time offers a chance to explore deeper issues.
